Concealed Carry Class Schedule

DAY 1

Classroom Instruction

Saturday

Class Location

The classroom section of the course will be held at:
Concord Taekwondo America
2353 Concord Lake Rd, Concord, NC

Things you need:

  • Your handgun that you plan to use at the range.
    or you can rent a handgun
  • Holster for your handgun
    or another intended method of concealed carry
  • Pen and paper for notes
  • Pants with belt
  • Concealing clothing (hoodie, vest, jacket, etc.)

8:30 am

The class will begin at 8:30 am.
Please arrive 10 minutes prior to class.

No Live Ammunition in the Classroom

All firearms will be checked and cleared before entering the classroom.

Lunch Break

During the class, we will have restroom breaks, as well as a break for lunch around noon.

You can bring a packed lunch or grab a quick bite to eat at one of the many restaurants nearby.

5:30 pm

The class will typically end around 5:30 pm

DAY 2

Live-fire Range Time

Sunday

Depending on the weather, range time will follow on Sunday.  Otherwise, range time will be scheduled based on availability.

Range Location

Weather permitting, we will use a private outdoor range. The outdoor range is in a wooded area, so please dress appropriately.

The address of the range will be provided in class on Saturday.

Things you need:

  • Handgun and holster
  • 100 rounds of ammunition
  • Eye Protection
  • Ear Protection
  • Closed-toe shoes
  • Pants with belt
  • Bottled Water
  • Bug repellent

1:00 pm

Sunday’s range time will begin at 1:00 pm. We will typically only need about 2-3 hours of range time depending on the class.

Hot Brass Ejection Warning

The brass ejected from handguns is hot and may land on exposed skin.  Please choose clothing that minimizes exposed skin around the neck, chest, and legs.

Please wear closed-toe shoes

Your Certificate

At the end of range time on Sunday, you will receive your training certificate. With this certificate, you are eligible to apply for your concealed carry permit with the sheriff’s department.
