Right Sight Training Learn the law of Self Defense and qualifiy for your NC Concealed Carry Permit. This Concealed Carry course includes the NC state required eight hours of classroom drills and instruction plus range qualification.
This course will qualify you to apply for your NC concealed carry handgun permit. This training course is in two parts, and includes 8 hours of in-class instruction, written test, and live fire range qualification. You will be training with Sean Baxter, US Army Veteran, USCCA Certified Instructor, NRA Firearms Instructor, and Master Instructor in Taekwondo.
COURSE REQUIREMENTS
For the live fire qualification portion, students have the option to rent a firearm, which includes ammunition and eye/ear protection included
If you wish to use one of your own firearms for the training course, you will also need to provide the following:
- Eye protection
- Ear protection
- 30-60 rounds of suitable ammunition
COURSE CURRICULUM
PART 1: Classroom setting
The modules in this Concealed Carry Handgun training course include:
- Law of Self Defense
- How & where to carry
- Anatomy of a firearm
- Firearm safety
- Marksmanship fundamentals
- Skills & Drills
- Permit application process
PART 2: Live Fire Qualification
Students will demonstrate safe handling and basic marksmanship under supervision of the instructor. Qualification includes accurate firing at a target at various distances.
COURSE CERTIFICATE
At the end of the two part course, students will receive their training certificate. With this certificate, students have proof of completion of the required training with NC, and are eligible to apply for their concealed carry permit with their respective sheriff’s department.
Note: (Concealed carry instructors CAN NOT issue concealed carry permits. It is the state government along with your county sheriff’s department that processes the applications and issues the permits.)
NOTE:
Part One is eight hours of classroom presentation, law of self defense and the use of lethal force, written test, firearm safety and classroom drills
Part Two is the live fire qualification at the range following part one. We’ll move to the range and finish out the day with the shooting portion of the course.
